Simona is enrolled in the Bucharest Bar since 2004 and obtained a Master of Business Law degree in 2008. She has started and constantly developed her career in one of the law firms with a long history on the Romanian law market. Together with CMP since its start in 2013, she has brought here all her professional and client management expertise, especially in the employment law area, and in 2016 she has become a partner in CMP. Her main areas of expertise are labor law consultancy, procurement procedures, contracts, corporate and compliance across a wide range of industries. Simona has been faced with the challenges of adapting CMP customers to the new rules on the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco products, gaining expertise in legal advice in tobacco product legislation, including excise, advertising and marketing in the tobacco industry.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Preparing successful documentation and assisting in procurement procedure organized by OMV Petrom SA, for Romanian and multinational companies operating in the field of gas & oil industry, maintenance and other services and acquisition of goods, during 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017.

  • “Application of Performance Criteria to Employee Assessment within MBO system – Management by Objectives” in Legal Magazine, no. 4, 2014, p. 42.
  • Assisting a local subsidiary of a multinational company in lay-off process in 2012.
  • Assisting a local subsidiary of a reputable Japanese corporation operating in civil engineering and construction in sensitive procedures related to employment and residency permits applications in 2012.
  • Assisting a major tobacco multinational company in layoff procedure, more than 120 employees, in 2010.
  • Presenting “Individual and collective layoff” workshop – speaker at “Individual Employment Contract – Practical Guide. 21-28 November 2008 Workshop” organized by Avocatnet.ro.
  • Relevant experience gained on: participating to legal due diligence with special focus on employment for acquisition of Dacia Automobile Craiova by Ford company in 2008; participating to legal due diligence within an asset deal between Petrom Services SA and a multinational corporation in 2008; participating to legal due diligence for expropriation of lands for Constanta-Cernavoda Highway in 2008
